Kingston, NY – July, 2014 – “The Illustrated Gallery” is an art exhibit highlighting the illustrative in art. The art in this exhibit tells a story, perhaps very obviously through a strong didactic narrative, or very emotionally, through colors, facial expressions or style working in a wide range of media from painting to felt sculpture. Artists represented in the show are skilled drafts people, mood setters, tension creators, magic makers, and above all, storytellers. This will be a large group show of artists from NYC, the Hudson Valley and further afield.
The show will feature the work of: Michael Crawford, Brian Cronin, Juliette Borda, Hillary Brown, Michael Brown, Tim Doyle, Seja Vogel, Carolita Johnson, Matthew Pleva, Amy Ross, Susan Minot, Minka Sicklinger, Anna Tillett, Kristin Tercek, Will Lytle, Marlena Konglau, Kathy Osborn, Everett Glenn, Ed Mironiuk, Greg Ruth, Bwana Spoons and Cynthia Turner.
