One Mile Gallery is pleased to present Temporal Motion, a solo exhibition of new paintings by Julie Hedrick, opening November 15, 2025, with a public reception from 3 to 6 PM.
In Temporal Motion, Hedrick explores the luminous and meditative possibilities of white. The exhibition features a new body of work where subtle shifts in tone and texture evoke the passage of time, light, and perception itself. Through layers of pigment and the quiet rhythm of brushwork, the artist investigates how stillness and movement coexist within the painted surface.
Known for her atmospheric abstractions, Hedrick’s practice engages with both the spiritual and the elemental. In these mostly white canvases, she invites viewers into a contemplative space—one that balances fragility and vastness, emptiness and presence.
“White,” Hedrick notes, “is never empty. It holds every color, every moment of becoming.”
Temporal Motion continues Hedrick’s decades-long inquiry into the relationship between painting, time, and consciousness, offering an immersive experience that rewards slow looking.
